This album has some very good songs like Farewell and Eastlander. While no new Folk - Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in South America. This is the first studio album from Folk - Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 1994. One of Folk - Various Artists’s best albums yet.
Eastlander is probably the most interesting track on Celtic Twilight. Diamond Dance is nothing but pure genius. Women Of Ireland is simple, dignified and effective, Folk - Various Artists refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Music of Deirdre Of The Sorrows is gentle, never overbearing. Windhorse is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Voice and instruments in Sweet Rain complement each other. Skye Boat Song is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Don’t judge Origins on the first listening. Lassie With The Golden Hair is one of the best records ever.
