The Mirror Pool isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On The Mirror Pool album, Folk - Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Folk - Various Artists last CD (The Mirror Pool) on Sparrow Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Enjoy the show.
La Bas (Song Of The Drowned) (Lisa Gerrard) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Persian Love Song (The Silver Gun) (Lisa Gerrard) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Music and lyrics of Sanvean (i am your shadow) (Lisa Gerrard) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is The Rite (Lisa Gerrard) because the melody in the chorus is so good. Ajhon (Lisa Gerrard) one is one of the better boring ones. Glorafin (Lisa Gerrard) is another favourite of mine. Majhnavea’s Music Box (Lisa Gerrard) is a bit different from Folk - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. The first time I listened to Largo (Lisa Gerrard) I was struck by its exquisite sound. Werd (Lisa Gerrard) is astounding. Laurelei (Lisa Gerrard) is a very catchy tune. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Celon (Lisa Gerrard) is my favorite song on The Mirror Pool. Venteles (Lisa Gerrard) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Nilleshna (lisa garrard) is cool and different song. Gloradin (Lisa Gerrard) is a exquisite song and it grows on you.
