Lead single “The Dusty Windmill (Sileas)” and “Crossing The Minch-Laird Of Drumblair-Fairly Dance (Aly Bain)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Folk - Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Folk - Various Artists and V.A. - (1995) World Network 32 - Scotland together. eight years ago, Folk - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Crossing The Minch-Laird Of Drumblair-Fairly Dance (Aly Bain)”. This album is awesome.
V.A. - (1995) World Network 32 - Scotland couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Crossing The Minch-Laird Of Drumblair-Fairly Dance (Aly Bain). The Braes-Over The Uist-Skylarks Ascension-Loch Ness… (Urbn Ri) as a highlight of V.A. - (1995) World Network 32 - Scotland contains a ton of amazing melodies. Sleeping Tune (Ceolbeg) - a classic song. Zito The Bubbleman (Ceolbeg) is one of the more up-tempo songs on V.A. - (1995) World Network 32 - Scotland.
