Frank Zappa had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is one of the best Cd’s Frank Zappa has dropped to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Frank Zappa energies, virtually a rebirth. One of Frank Zappa’s best albums yet.
Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow - A catchy, upbeat tune. In Dancin’ Fool Frank Zappa is at his best. Such hits like San Ber’dino will leave you hooked. Music of Dirty Love is gentle, never overbearing. My Guitar Wants to Kill Your Mama without a doubt is the standout song of Strictly Commercial. Some call Cosmik Debris from Strictly Commercial as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Frank Zappa breathes new life into the music in Trouble Every Day. Disco Boy is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Fine Girl is one of my favorite songs by Frank Zappa. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, which shows, blatantly, how much Frank Zappa has evolved as a singer. Strong, powerful vocals of Frank Zappa in Let’s Make the Water Turn Black are very impressive. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Joe’s Garage is a great opener for Strictly Commercial. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Montana - A nice song. Opening track Valley Girl shows the best of Frank Zappa. Be in My Video - A strong beat. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Muffin Man.
