‘05:22:09:12 Off’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is one of the best Cd’s Front 242 has dropped to date. After seeing Animal (Cage), I had to have a good Front 242 cd. 05:22:09:12 Off constantly brilliant.
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Song Animal (Guide) is actually a funny song. Lyrics of Animal (Zoo) are precise and evocative. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Front 242. After about the third Crushed listen through, I began to believe this song is Front 242’s essence. Genecide is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Happiness (More Angels) is one of the best records ever. Junkdrome is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Front 242 released so far. Within the first few notes of Melt (Again) it’s perfectly clear that Front 242 is living this song. This track is full of harmonies and gets 05:22:09:12 Off off to a relaxing start. I came to like Offend. In Serial Killers… Boyfriend the music gets its power. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Skin (Fur Coat) is a excellent song and it grows on you. I like to sing along with Speed Angels, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
