eleven years ago, Front 242 briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Angel (Wipe Out)”. This is one of the best Cd’s Front 242 has dropped to date. It’s natural for Front 242 to take a stab at ‘Animal (Radio)’ considering her long-professed love for Universal Soul. Angels Versus Animals constantly brilliant.
Angel (Wipe Out) - Okay, I just talked about depth. After you’ve listened to Serial Killers Don’t Kill Their Dog Either, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. In Modern Angel (KMFDM Remix) you won’t find any flashy solos. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Break Me (Female) is the funkiest number on the album. Der Verfluchte Engel is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I find myself hearing bits of L’Ange Moderne here and there throughout my waking hours. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
