Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors’s debut, ‘Tongues’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Psalm and Suma. Lead single “Psalm” and “Suma” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Smart music for smart people.
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Opening track Chatter shows the best of Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors. Tongues hits the heart. Rest Your Tears Here is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Ram - Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors first major hit. After about the third Stillpoint listen through, I began to believe this song is Gabrielle Roth and The Mirrors’s essence.
