Gary Karr was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Gary Karr and Basso Cantabile together. This album has some very good songs like Vissi D’arte, Vissi D’amore and Casta Diva. This disc has all of the essential Gary Karr classics. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
In Casta Diva Gary Karr is at his best. Pace, Pace, Mio Dio was the first single release from the album Basso Cantabile. O Mio Babbino Caro is the albums biggest surprise. The sound of Dove Seno I Bei Momenti is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. A fantastic track full of wonder. Je Dis Que Rien Ne M’epouvante is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Una Furtiva Lagrima is really the reason why I recommend buying Basso Cantabile. Je Crois Entendre Encore - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Nessun Dorma is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. E Lucevan Le Stelle - arguably the best track on Basso Cantabile album. I like the idea behind Dormirosol Nel Manto Mio Rega. Fantasie Sonnamblua without a doubt is the standout song of Basso Cantabile. Basso Cantabile couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track In Diesenheil’gen Hallen.
