This -song debut EP shows the promise that Gilbert O’Sullivan has. IF YOU LIKE ALL Gilbert O’Sullivan’S SONG GO FOR IT! On the Malta charts, superstar Gilbert O’Sullivan’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I wish that “Live In Japan” album was instrumental.
If you are a Gilbert O’Sullivan fan, you will love Came To See Me Yesterday. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Nothing Rhymed. I think I Wish I Could Cry is the best song Gilbert O’Sullivan has ever done. Now Matter How I Try is the more seemingly obscure song on Live In Japan that bear up best to repeated listening. I was truly moved when I heard We Will. In Miss My Love Today Gilbert O’Sullivan spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Blew our minds when we first heard Got To Be That Way. Clair - For me, this is the best of the album. Dear Dream has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Hold On To What You Got gives taste of what makes Gilbert O’Sullivan special as a musician. A great put together song. Can’t Get Enough Of You one of the best in my collection. In Not That It Bothers Me you won’t find any flashy solos. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is It’s Easy To See When You’re Blind. After few listenings I started to like Tomorrow Today more and more. What’s In A Kiss as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Simple and heartfelt closing track Or So They Say closes Live In Japan on a high note. Get Live In Japan and turn on Get Down if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Alone Again is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Gilbert O’Sullivan emotions are reflected through Where Peaceful Waters Flows.
