‘Christmas Serenade In The Glenn Miller Style’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This album has some very good songs like It Happened In Sun Valley and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Glenn Miller had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Christmas Serenade In The Glenn Miller Style.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. After you’ve listened to We Wish You A Merry Christmas, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The Christmas Song which is my favorite is a truly Glenn Miller sounding song. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Snowfall - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. And The Bells Rang - A strong beat. Some of the arrangements found on Christmas Serenade In The Glenn Miller Style are surprisingly edgy. In Jingle Bells it becomes nowhere more obvious that Glenn Miller has yet to define own style. Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town is probably the most interesting track on Christmas Serenade In The Glenn Miller Style. Sleigh Ride was the first single release from the album Christmas Serenade In The Glenn Miller Style. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy.
