Sacred Hymns (Keit Jarrett) is an amazing album, racked with beauty. While no new Gurdjieff album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Asia. It has been eleven years Gurdjieff’ last studio CD, “Sacred Hymns (Keit Jarrett)” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I wish that “Sacred Hymns (Keit Jarrett)” album was instrumental.
Prayer and Despair is the albums biggest surprise. Reading of Sacred Books is excellent and different song. Hymn for a Great Temple is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Best song on the album, love it. I like Hymn to Endless Creator because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Hymn hits the heart. Lyrics of Hymn for Good Friday are precise and evocative. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Hymn sets the tone for the entire album. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Easter Night Procession is a striking and quite long song. Easter Hymn is one of my favorite songs by Gurdjieff. Meditation - Check out that bassline!
