Lead single “Critical Mass / Burnin’ love” and “Brothers In Crime / Forever” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IF YOU LIKE ALL Hardcore - Various Artists’S SONG GO FOR IT! Hardcore - Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Hardcore - Various Artists and Happy Hardcore 4 (cd 2 of 2) together. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Happy Hardcore 4 (cd 2 of 2).
Some of the arrangements found on Happy Hardcore 4 (cd 2 of 2) are surprisingly edgy. Mindtrust / Ravers groove is the song that really did it for me. The Beatsquad / Miles of smiles (Original version…) is one of the best records ever. In No Velocity / Give me body full palet of sound is used by Hardcore - Various Artists to accentuate the presentation. The sound of Pulp Shock / Take me away is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. DJ Weirdo & DJ Sim / Pump that stupid bass (Credibility radio mix…) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Hardcore - Various Artists ever produced. DJ Lingo & The Skycat / Together foreve is simply perfect. Smile / Movin’ is one of the best records ever. Lords Of The Underworld / Making move is a gorgeous sing-along. I like the agression and power of DJ Rob & Tim B / Touch the sky. First time I heard Carlos Masserati / Get on the move (Happy mix…) was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.
