eleven years ago, Hardcore - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Trip To Heaven (T-Scanner)”. Happy Hardcore Vol. 1 (CD 1) is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Hardcore - Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. Great Hardcore right here!
Trip To Heaven (T-Scanner) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Some of the arrangements found on Happy Hardcore Vol. 1 (CD 1) are surprisingly edgy. Don’t judge Happy Organ (DJ Sim) on the first listening. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Fly Fox (Emmanuel Top) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Dance (Charly Lownoise RMX) (Brothers In Crime) gives taste of what makes Hardcore - Various Artists special as a musician. In Rave Nation (Undercover Anarchist Feat. Jug) full palet of sound is used by Hardcore - Various Artists to accentuate the presentation. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Right To The Rhythem (Eurocore) - I like this one. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Mission Fulfilled (Rod-Yler Feat. Clinique Team). The Deep (Force Mass Motion) presents the marvelous mix of instruments on Happy Hardcore Vol. 1 (CD 1). Mushrooms (D’Ohm Feat. Tofke & Insider) one of the best in my collection. Move Your Ass (Scooter) is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Happy Hardcore Vol. 1 (CD 1) have ended. Pump This Party (DJ Paul) on Happy Hardcore Vol. 1 (CD 1) is solid and easy to listen to. In Dancing Together (Critical Mass) the music gets its power.
