Bun B. Hear has compared writing for Hawkwind’s new album to that on ‘Alien 4′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This disc has all of the essential Hawkwind classics. Hawkwind had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Smart music for smart people.
I came to like Alien (I Am). I love the melodic melody of Reject Your Human Touch and to this day it makes me feel good. I was truly moved when I heard Blue Skin. Hawkwind sings Beam Me Up in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Hawkwind sings his heart out in Vega. The first time I listened to Xenomorph I was struck by its excellent sound. Journey is just simply stunning. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. A fantastic track full of wonder. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. There is marvelous mix of music in Death Trap. Wastlands is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Hawkwind released so far. Are You Losing Your Mind - This is a very lively song.
