Hawkwind was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Hawkwind and Electric Tepee together. Electric Tepee isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Hawkwind’s album Electric Tepee falls to No. 2 with 820,000, a sales slide of 69%. Hawkwind “Electric Tepee” is an amazing album.
It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Death Of War as a highlight of Electric Tepee contains a ton of marvelous melodies. The sound of The Secret Agent is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Garden Pests - A classic Hawkwind track. Space Dust is a very catchy tune. Snake Dance catches attention immediately, Such hits like Mask Of The Morning will leave you hooked. In Rites Of The Netherworld the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. When listening to Don’t Understand, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Hawkwind offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. The opening track Right To Decide is very much like you would expect from other albums. Going To Hawaii is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Voice and instruments in Electric Tepee complement each other.
