There is so much to love about Howard Levy, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. fifteen years ago, Howard Levy briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Nutbuster (Nauseef)”. The Old Country is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Enjoy the show.
Nutbuster (Nauseef) make listening to Howard Levy like being in some sort of time warp. Kucano Oro (Traditional Macedo…) is a strong cut, one of many. The Old Country (Levy, Nauseef…) is the albums biggest surprise. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Hayabusa (Levy) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Nice and different song. Jovana Jovanke (Traditional Ma…) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. The Origin of Insects (Levy, N…) one of the best in my collection. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Old Country. Dancing on the Moon (Levy) - Okay, I just talked about depth. I listened to the opening track Lounge de la Frontera (Levy, N…) and liked it a lot.
