IF YOU LIKE ALL Inkuyo’S SONG GO FOR IT! It has been eight years Inkuyo’ last studio CD, “Art From Sacred Landscapes” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since Inkuyo last CD (Art From Sacred Landscapes) on Virgin Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is in perfect progression from Inkuyo!
Kalasasaya is the first taste of the new album. I like the idea behind Vilcanota. Kusi Huaman (Joyful hawk) is one of the best records ever. Alfamayo - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Pacha Siku (Earth Pan Pipes) is probably the most interesting track on Art From Sacred Landscapes. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. If you are a Inkuyo fan, you will love Puma Punku (Gate of the Lions). Morenada De Los Sapos on Art From Sacred Landscapes is solid and easy to listen to. Inkuyo is one of artists that allow his songs like Azucenita (Little Lily) to stand on their own and be heard. Inkuyo sings his heart out in Buscando (In Search Of). This is probably my favorite song on the album. After you’ve listened to Chunchus, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Sonqoy Urpi (Dove of My Heart) is possibly the best song Inkuyo has come up. Santa Juana gets you up and jumping.
