Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of James Blood Ulmer on ‘Burning Like Love’. James Blood Ulmer’s debut, ‘Black and Blues’, does not fit easily into one genre. This disc has all of the essential James Blood Ulmer classics. This album is awesome.
Crying is a very catchy tune. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of James Blood Ulmer. Don’t judge Tower Of Power on the first listening. Music in New York Day is amazing as in all tracks of Black and Blues. Make It Right (5:40) a good melody. Sign Language is absolutely incredible. This is one hell of a track. Uptown - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love.
