I am not a real Jazz: Funk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Hell’ really is amazing. This is the first studio album from James Brown since bad diagnosis in 1995. Since James Brown last CD (Hell) on ForeFront Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of James Brown best albums
Hell rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. My Thang is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Voice of James Brown in Sayin’ And Doin’ It is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Please, Please, Please - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Music in These Foolish Things Remind Me Of You is perfect as in all tracks of Hell. In Stormy Monday it becomes nowhere more obvious that James Brown has yet to define own style. I believe A Man Has To Go Back To The Crossroad Before He Finds Himself is one of the most marvelous, heartfelt songs ever written. Sometime is one of these floating songs. I Can’t Stand It ‘76′ can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what James Brown is all about. James Brown has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Some of the arrangements found on Hell are surprisingly edgy. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Hell.
