Lead single “Only You” and “Somethin’ Else” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the first studio album from James Brown since bad diagnosis in 1996. It’s natural for James Brown to take a stab at ‘Only You’ considering her long-professed love for East 17. If I may, I suggest “Only You”. That one song is amazing!
Somethin’ Else - arguably the best track on Out of Sight album. I find myself hearing bits of I Love You Porgy here and there throughout my waking hours. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Maybe The Last Time because the melody in the chorus is so good. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of James Brown. I Got You is another favourite of mine. Such hits like Nature Boy will leave you hooked. I Wanna Be Around which is my favorite is a truly James Brown sounding song. I’ve found myself listening to Till Then back to back and back many times. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Good Rockin’ Tonight one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Out Of Sight is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
