The Big Country: The Raid & Capture without a doubt is the standout song of The Big Country. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Jerome Moross allows each song to breathe and flourish. The Big Country: The Welcoming one of the best in my collection. The Big Country: Julie’s House one is one of the better boring ones. The Big Country: Main Title (2:53) a good melody. What sets The Big Country: Major Terrill’s Party: Dance II apart is Jerome Moross’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. The Big Country: Major Terrill’s Party: Waltz is simple, dignified and effective, Jerome Moross refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The Big Country: McKay’s Ride, McKay Is Missing, The Old House hits the heart. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The Big Country: The Big Muddy is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. I can’t stop playing The Big Country: McKay Alone, Night At Ladder Ranch, The Fight. From the moment you listen to The Big Country: Cattle At The River you’re hooked. The Big Country: Attempted Rape is a song to enjoy for years to come. Get The Big Country and turn on The Big Country: The War Party Gathers, McKay In Blanco Canyon, The Major Alone if you are going to sip your wine late at night. The Big Country: The Duel, Death Of Buck Hennassey, End Title is the more seemingly obscure song on The Big Country that bear up best to repeated listening.
