I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Concepts in Blue’ really is amazing. J.J. Johnson had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Concepts in Blue carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. IT makes me wanna dance!
Nermus is a fine track on any terms. Village Blues is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Coming Home gets you up and jumping. Concepts In Blue is a very catchy tune. After about the third Mohawk listen through, I began to believe this song is J.J. Johnson’s essence.
