This disc has all of the essential Joan Baez classics. IF YOU LIKE ALL Joan Baez’S SONG GO FOR IT! Since completing 1996’s ‘Jesse’, Joan Baez fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Blue Sky is simply cool. Hello In There is pretty funky and mellow. I can’t stop playing Simple Twist Of Fate. Children And All That Jazz - To me, this is the best song on the Diamonds: a Joan Baez CD1. Fountain Of Sorrow can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Joan Baez is all about. Never Dreamed You’d Leave In Summer have really caught my ear and imagination. Diamonds And Rust I just LOVE this mix! In Tumbleweed Joan Baez is at his best. Song Imagine is actually a funny song. Myths - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Joan Baez. Love Song To A Stranger is a very catchy tune. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Son Of Bangladesh is perfect. First time I heard To Bobby was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. In The Quiet Morning - For me, this is the best of the album. Prison Trilogy (Billy Rose) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
