Lead single “Prelude To A Kiss” and “Peggy’s Blue Skylight” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Rush Hour’ really is amazing. This disc has all of the essential Joe Lovano classics. Rush Hour is not something you should pass up.
This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The opening track Wildcat is very much like you would expect from other albums. Angel Eyes - another great track from the Rush Hour album. Rush Hour On 23rd Street defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Crepuscule With Nellie is the funkiest number on the album. In Lament For M it becomes nowhere more obvious that Joe Lovano has yet to define own style. Topsy Turvy is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Love I Long For. Juniper’s Garden was the first single release from the album Rush Hour. Kathline Gray is one of the coolest songs Joe Lovano has ever recorded. Such hits like Headin’ Out, Movin’ In will leave you hooked. Chelsea Bridge - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
