This is one of the best Cd’s Joe Lovano has dropped to date. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Joe Lovano’s new album to that on ‘Universal Language’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since completing 1993’s ‘Luna Park’, Joe Lovano fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Sculpture
Best song on the album, love it. In Josie And Rosie you won’t find any flashy solos. Music and lyrics of This Is Always creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. There is marvelous mix of music in Worship. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. In The Dawn Of Time the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Lost Nations is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Hypnosis I just LOVE this mix! Music in Chelsea Rendezvous is perfect as in all tracks of Universal Language.
