On Stormy Monday album, John Mayall have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. For older fans Stormy Monday will put a massive smile accross your face. John Mayall’s debut, ‘Stormy Monday’, does not fit easily into one genre. I wish that “Stormy Monday” album was instrumental.
Sitting in the Rain is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I can’t stop humming along Long Gone Midnight. No Reply is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Listening to Hartley Quits you can hear that John Mayall has still amazing chemistry with band members. Jenny (4:37) - awsome. Nice and different song. I was truly moved when I heard They Call it Stormy Monday. Don’t Pick a Flower is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. One listen to the sheer beauty of Thinking of My Woman was all I needed. Don’t Waste My Time is a very catchy tune. Plan Your Revolution one of the best in my collection. Took the Car is beautiful, yet underrated track. Time’s Moving on had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
