Since completing 1996’s ‘La Estiba’, John Mclaughin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It’s natural for John Mclaughin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia to take a stab at ‘La Estiba’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. This is my first John Mclaughin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia Album and i must say i am blown away.
Beyond The Mirage is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Midsummer Night one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I listened to the opening track Manha De Carnaval and liked it a lot. Letter From India is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Espiritu has a fun tempo. Le Monastere Dans Les Montagnes - A strong beat. Azzura - I just love it.
