There is no doubt that John McLaughlin has talent. John McLaughlin was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from John McLaughlin and Molom - A Legend Of Mongolia together. Since John McLaughlin last CD (Molom - A Legend Of Mongolia) on Virgin Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is my first John McLaughlin Album and i must say i am blown away.
Molom Theme Song 1 - This is a very lively song. The Boy’s Theme 1 is almost impossible to review. Breakfast - The Cave - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I now have The Four Seasons as one of my personal favorites. Only one song from Molom - A Legend Of Mongolia named Horses really got me. Boudamchou is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. John McLaughlin is one of artists that allow his songs like Little Girl’s Theme 1 to stand on their own and be heard. Cows In The Water is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. The Man Hunts is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. This is one hell of a track. John McLaughlin is hitting on all cylinders in Hunting - The Witch. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Don’t judge Melody on the first listening. I like to sing along with The Dream Of The Boy, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The Boy Cries is a striking and quite long song. Traditional Song is astounding. Introduction Of The Boy To The Monk is one of the best records ever. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. The Boy Leaves stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. National Song - arguably the best track on Molom - A Legend Of Mongolia album. Molom Theme Song End marked the continuation of John McLaughlin in style evolution.
