Lead single “You speak my language (Scofield)” and “The red one (Metheny)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John Scofield energies, virtually a rebirth. There were many famous songs of John Scofield available. One of John Scofield’s best albums yet.
When listening to The red one (Metheny), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. No matter what (Scofield) one is one of the better boring ones. No way Jos (Scofield) is a medium tempo tune. Best song on the album, love it. Everybody’s party (Scofield) is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
