John Surman, John Warren The Brass Project MP3

John Surman, John Warren The Brass Project imageLead single “The Returning Exile” and “Coastline” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of John Surman, John Warren energies, virtually a rebirth. John Surman, John Warren’s debut, ‘The Brass Project’, does not fit easily into one genre. Another great offering from John Surman, John Warren.

After about the third Coastline listen through, I began to believe this song is John Surman, John Warren’s essence. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. The New One Two, Part.2 is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything John Surman, John Warren released so far. Special Motive on The Brass Project is solid and easy to listen to. Wider Vision is simply exquisite. In Silent Lake the music gets its power. Opening track Mellstock Quire Tantrum Clangley shows the best of John Surman, John Warren. All For A Shadow - To me, this is the best song on the The Brass Project.
