This disc has all of the essential John Zorn classics. This album has some very good songs like The Combiner and The Ladder. It’s natural for John Zorn to take a stab at ‘The Combiner’ considering her long-professed love for U2. One of John Zorn’s best albums yet.
The Ladder is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. The Chain gets you up and jumping. John Zorn must have run out of lyrics on the next track The Field. The Table is another favourite of mine. The Interpreter is a fine track on any terms. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think The Tree is my favorite song on The Art of Memory. The Fountain and the Mirror is a great opener for The Art of Memory.
