Since completing 1994’s ‘Sensyo’, John Zorn’s Cobra fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. For older fans Tokyo Operations ‘94 will put a massive smile accross your face. Tokyo Operations ‘94 touched my soul like nothing else.
It’s a great pleasure to listen to Tomobiki from the beginning to the end. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. No John Zorn’s Cobra song has come close to capturing my attention as Butsumetsu did. Taian is marvelous song though, very addictive. Listening to Shakko you can hear that John Zorn’s Cobra has still amazing chemistry with band members.
