There is no doubt that Jonny L has talent. Lead single “This Time (Roni Size Remix)” and “This Time (Cool Dub Mix)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album has some very good songs like This Time (Roni Size Remix) and This Time (Cool Dub Mix). Such great and happy songs.
This Time (Cool Dub Mix) is the funkiest number on the album. I Won’t Let You Go had me crying as I was able to relate so well. After about the third Jazz listen through, I began to believe this song is Jonny L’s essence. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Wa-Oh from the beginning to the end. This track is clearly meant to showcase Jonny L’s vocal abilities. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
