It’s natural for Juan Gabriel to take a stab at ‘Cancion 187′ considering her long-professed love for East 17. Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Juan Gabriel comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Juan Gabriel’s new album to that on ‘El Mexico Que Se Nos Fue’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I wish that “El Mexico Que Se Nos Fue” album was instrumental.
The song Cuando Estoy En El Campo ending is my favorite… so catchy! El Hijo Mi Compadre is one of the best records ever. El Mexico Que Se Nos Fue is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. El Palo is really a nice song to relax and listen too. El Recurso make listening to Juan Gabriel like being in some sort of time warp. This track is full of harmonies and gets El Mexico Que Se Nos Fue off to a relaxing start. La Herencia is possibly the best song Juan Gabriel has come up. Mi Bendita Tierra is another strong production from Juan Gabriel. Muerto En Vida is one of these floating songs.
