There is so much to love about Keb’ Mo’, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. six years ago, Keb’ Mo’ briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Perpetual Blues Machine”. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Keb’ Mo’ on ‘That’s Not Love’. That’s Not Love and Perpetual Blues Machine is really good.
Perpetual Blues Machine is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Keb’ Mo’ released so far. More Than One Way Home make listening to Keb’ Mo’ like being in some sort of time warp. I’m on Your Side - A classic Keb’ Mo’ track. Just Like You is possibly the best song Keb’ Mo’ has come up. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Dangerous Mood - For me, this is the best of the album. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Hand It Over is a great opener for Just Like You. Keb’ Mo’ breathes new life into the music in Standin’ at the Station. Momma, Where’s My Daddy I just LOVE this mix! I was truly moved when I heard Last Fair Deal Gone Down. I’ve found myself listening to Lullaby Baby Blues back to back and back many times.
