On the USA charts, superstar Khadja Nin’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is one of the best Cd’s Khadja Nin has dropped to date. Khadja Nin’s debut, ‘Sambolera’, does not fit easily into one genre. Khadja Nin “Sambolera” is an amazing album.
Although Sina Mali, Sina Deni (Free) is very melodic it is far from sad. Wale Watu is Khadja Nin’s best work in years. Mama Lusiya - a classic song. Khadja Nin rocks harder than ever with Save Us. Mwana Wa Mama is the albums biggest surprise. After you’ve listened to Leo Leya, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Sambolera. Sous Le Charme is the more seemingly obscure song on Sambolera that bear up best to repeated listening. Rosy is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Sambolera couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Bwana C..
