seven years ago, La Bouche briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sweet Dreams”. There is so much to love about La Bouche, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Sweet Dreams carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album is a scorcher!
Opening track Sweet Dreams shows the best of La Bouche. Fallin’ In Love - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Within the first few notes of Where Do You Go it’s perfectly clear that La Bouche is living this song. I’ll Be There is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. La Bouche sings Do You Still Need Me in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. La Bouche allows each song to breathe and flourish. The Heat Is On - Check out that bassline! This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Shoo Be Do Bee Do (I Like That Way) gets you up and jumping. Voice of La Bouche in Nice ‘n’ Slow is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. In Fallin’ In Love (Spike Mix) the music gets its power. Be My Lover (House Mix) one of the best in my collection. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Le Click: Tonight Is The Night, which shows, blatantly, how much La Bouche has evolved as a singer.
