This six-song debut EP shows the promise that Lee Ranaldo has. It’s natural for Lee Ranaldo to take a stab at ‘Broken Circle’ considering her long-professed love for Gustav Holst. Lee Ranaldo’s debut, ‘Broken Circle [EP]’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Spiral Hill - I like this one. Some of the arrangements found on Broken Circle [EP] are surprisingly edgy. I’ve found myself listening to Midnight Headlights back to back and back many times. Brand New Love is a bit different from Lee Ranaldo stereotypical stuff.
