For older fans Serious Fun will put a massive smile accross your face. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Lester Bowie on ‘Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag’. This album has some very good songs like Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag and Smooth Operator. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Smooth Operator
Smooth Operator - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Inflated Tear (7:26) - awsome. Butt is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. In God Bless the Child Lester Bowie spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Don’t Worry, Be Happy is a astounding, simple song by Lester Bowie at the top of his game. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
