John Digester has compared writing for Lightnin’ Hopkins’s new album to that on ‘Forever - Last Recordings’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It has been two years Lightnin’ Hopkins’ last studio CD, “Forever - Last Recordings” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Self-described as Blues with lots of words, Lightnin’ Hopkins comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Forever - Last Recordings is the best essence of Lightnin’ Hopkins.

Baby Please Don’t Go - a classic song. So much energy, so exciting a sound.It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Don’t Let That Bad Sun Shines Down On Me - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Once you hear Watch Yourself, you will listen to it over and over. Rock Me Baby to me is the best you can get from Lightnin’ Hopkins. I listened to the opening track My Baby and liked it a lot. Trouble In Mind was the first single release from the album Forever - Last Recordings.
