Wake the world ‘93 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since completing 1993’s ‘AudioTrack 01′, Loft fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Since Loft last CD (Wake the world ‘93) on EMI Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. One of Loft’s best albums yet.
It’s such an underrated song. AudioTrack 03 is simple, dignified and effective, Loft refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In AudioTrack 05 Loft spins a tale you want to hear to the end. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Voice and instruments in AudioTrack 07 complement each other. AudioTrack 08 is a striking and quite long song. AudioTrack 11 is the albums biggest surprise.
