This is the first studio album from Loop Guru since bad diagnosis in 1996. It has been eleven years Loop Guru’ last studio CD, “Catalogue of Desires Volume 3 - The Clear White Variation” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is one of the best Cd’s Loop Guru has dropped to date. This album is a scorcher!
Catalyst has a fun tempo. Blew our minds when we first heard The Garden of Unarthly Delight. The song feels complete. I like the idea behind Stone River Reckoning. In Almost it becomes nowhere more obvious that Loop Guru has yet to define own style. Some of the arrangements found on Catalogue of Desires Volume 3 - The Clear White Variation are surprisingly edgy. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Mountain of Waterglass - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Chukachuka Geledag-Geledug is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Saboda is probably one of Loop Guru’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Song Rite Number Three is actually a funny song. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Buruk Burang, which shows, blatantly, how much Loop Guru has evolved as a singer. Voice of Loop Guru in Nature of the Whole is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Susleone gives taste of what makes Loop Guru special as a musician. Enlightened Jewels, Mourned Opportunitiy one of the best in my collection. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The Pear-Tree Illusion is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Loop Guru.
