After debuting at No. 1 last week, Loquillo y Los Trogloditas’s album Companeros De Viaje CD1 falls to No. 2 with 397,000, a sales slide of 58%. There is so much to love about Loquillo y Los Trogloditas, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It has been eleven years Loquillo y Los Trogloditas’ last studio CD, “Companeros De Viaje CD1″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. If I may, I suggest “Morir En Primavera”. That one song is amazing!
Ya No Hay Herores is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Ciudad Muerta one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. In No Surf Loquillo y Los Trogloditas is at his best. Loquillo y Los Trogloditas allows each song to breathe and flourish. One listen to the sheer beauty of Maria was all I needed. Pegate A Mi is the album’s biggest hit, I think. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Although Diez Anos Atras is very melodic it is far from sad. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Treinta Y Tantos because the melody in the chorus is so good. Get Companeros De Viaje CD1 and turn on Companeros De Viaje if you are going to sip your wine late at night. El Renegado (Sin Esperanza De Vuel A) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Loquillo y Los Trogloditas’s face. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. El Parque De Cervantes without a doubt is the standout song of Companeros De Viaje CD1. Los Ojos Vendados is Loquillo y Los Trogloditas’s best work in years. Blanco Y Negro is gorgeous work of Loquillo y Los Trogloditas. Vencidos is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Avenida De La Luz - A catchy, upbeat tune.
