There is so much to love about Luis Eduardo Aute, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Mano a mano isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. When you buy a Luis Eduardo Aute album, you know exactly what you’re getting! IT makes me wanna dance!
De alguna manera to me is the best you can get from Luis Eduardo Aute. Las cuatro y diez without a doubt is the standout song of Mano a mano. Que hago ahora. Donde pongo lo hallado is the albums biggest surprise. Album opener Monologo is a bright, upbeat ditty. Voice and instruments in El necio complement each other. Luis Eduardo Aute is one of artists that allow his songs like Dos o tres segundos de ternura to stand on their own and be heard. I find myself hearing bits of Queda la musica here and there throughout my waking hours. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Mano a mano. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Oleo de mujer con sombrero because the melody in the chorus is so good. Voice of Luis Eduardo Aute in Rabo de nube is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I can’t stop humming along Dentro. Blew our minds when we first heard Universo. Gota de rocio - Luis Eduardo Aute first major hit. Sin tu latido - another great track from the Mano a mano album. Pequena serenata diurna (3:37) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Con un beso por fusil is another favourite of mine. Sueno con serpientes is a very catchy tune. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. This track is clearly meant to showcase Luis Eduardo Aute’s vocal abilities. La belleza is a medium tempo tune. Ojala as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Al alba hits the heart. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
