This is the first studio album from Maceo Parker since bad diagnosis in 1994. John Digester has compared writing for Maceo Parker’s new album to that on ‘Southern Exposure’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There were many famous songs of Maceo Parker available. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
There is astounding mix of music in Sister Sanctified. Splashin’ - This one is lively and fun. Walking Home Together is probably the most interesting track on Southern Exposure. No Maceo Parker song has come close to capturing my attention as The Way You Look Tonight did. Every Saturday Night which is my favorite is a truly Maceo Parker sounding song. Keep On Marching - A catchy, upbeat tune. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. As always, Maceo Parker’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
