This is one of the best Cd’s Mannheim Steamroller has dropped to date. Now signed to Mannheim Steamroller’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Christmas In The Aire” leads Mannheim Steamroller’s back-to-school campaign. Since completing 1995’s ‘Joy To The World’, Mannheim Steamroller fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Great Classical: Neo-Classical right here!
Joseph Dear, Oh Joseph Mine on Christmas In The Aire is solid and easy to listen to. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Herbei, Oh Ihr GlG¤ubigen (O Come All Ye Faithful) is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Pat-A-Pan is one of these floating songs. O Little Town Of Bethlehem is probably the most interesting track on Christmas In The Aire. As always, Mannheim Steamroller’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Best song on the album, love it. I was truly moved when I heard Los Peces En El Rio. The sound in Christmas Lullaby is really warm and Mannheim Steamroller’s signature voice is still very much present. Kling, GlG¶ckchen is the funkiest number on the album. Nice and different song.
