This album has some very good songs like Ah, Perfido Op.65 (Beethoven) and I Puritani (Bellini) - O Rendetemi La Speme - Qui La Voce. When you buy a Maria Callas album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There were many famous songs of Maria Callas available. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is I Puritani (Bellini) - O Rendetemi La Speme - Qui La Voce
I Puritani (Bellini) - O Rendetemi La Speme - Qui La Voce is the song that really did it for me. I Puritani (Bellini) - Vien, Diletto, E In Ciel La Luna very upbeat. After you’ve listened to Il Barbiere Di Seviglia (Rossini) - Une Voce Poco Fa, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Il Turco In Italia (Rossini) - Non Si Da Follia Maggiore is the funkiest number on the album. From the moment you listen to La Sonnambula (Bellini) - Ah! Non Credea Mirarti you’re hooked. La Vestale (Spontini) - Tu Che Invovo is a fine track on any terms. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Lucia Di Lammermoor (Donizetti) - Regnava Nel Silenzio. Medea (Cherubini) - Dei Tuoi Figli La Madre stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Norma (Bellini) - Casta Diva defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Norma (Bellini) - Fine Al Rito… - Ah! Bello A Me Ritorna is another strong production from Maria Callas.
