Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Me’Shell NdegeOcello on ‘Womb’. Lead single “Womb” and “Way” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It has been three years Me’Shell NdegeOcello’ last studio CD, “Peace Beyond Passion [Musikkassette]” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. One of Me’Shell NdegeOcello’s best albums yet.
Way is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Deuteronomy: Niggerman is a bit of a show-tune. Ecclesiastes: Free My Heart catches attention immediately, I like the idea behind Leviticus: Faggot. Mary Magdalene - For me, this is the best of the album. God Shiva - another great track from the Peace Beyond Passion [Musikkassette] album. Who Is He and What Is He to You? is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Stay - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Bittersweet very upbeat. Me’Shell NdegeOcello is one of artists that allow his songs like Tear and a Smile to stand on their own and be heard. Make Me Wanna Holler can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Me’Shell NdegeOcello is all about.
