Memories In Dark (For Marion Davies) is a bit different from Michael Hoppe and Tim Wheater stereotypical stuff. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Nocturnes And The Quarter Moon (For Lil Dagover) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Rendezvous (For Vita Sackville-West) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Michael Hoppe and Tim Wheater’s strong vocals come to the fore. Black Roses, White Jade (For Rebecca West) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Of Mask And Shadow (For Ellen Terry) is a perfect, simple song by Michael Hoppe and Tim Wheater at the top of his game. Album opener Distant Moment (For Mary Pickford) is a bright, upbeat ditty. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in The Yearning: Romances For Alto Flute.
