On the Croatia charts, superstar Midnight Sax’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lead single “Love Is All Around” and “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Now signed to Midnight Sax’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “18 Late Night Melodies” leads Midnight Sax’s back-to-school campaign. I wish that “18 Late Night Melodies” album was instrumental.
A Whiter Shade Of Pale is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. The Long And Winding Road is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. I like the idea behind Woman. I can’t stop playing Lean On Me. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think How Deep Is Your Love? is my favorite song on 18 Late Night Melodies. Just The Way You Are is absolutely incredible. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Midnight Sax. Said I Loved You… But I Lied had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Candle In The Wind is one of the more up-tempo songs on 18 Late Night Melodies. Will You Be There? is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through 18 Late Night Melodies. You’ve Lost That Loving Feel.. is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Blue Eyes as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Dreamlover (4:03) a good melody. We’ve Only Just Begun on 18 Late Night Melodies is solid and easy to listen to. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with One Sweet Day. I Can Love You Like That to me is the best you can get from Midnight Sax. Can I Touch You… There? is one of the best records ever.
